Miles is at Joslyn Park taking a break after his folks pushed him all over town to sample great food, listen to live bands covering music from the Summer of Love (1967), visit still-overpriced open houses, and shop.
The day before newlyweds Jeremy and Chrissy came over the hill to the Westside to visit Miles. They took us out to lunch at the Reel Inn, which is quite easily the best seafood place in LA on the all-important value to quality scale.
On the Baby Fodor's scale, Miles awarded his veggies a perfect 30 points.
Another big highlight of the month was Peter's first Father's Day. As always, our daycare went overboard by helping Miles prepare a gift for Peter, which Miles delivered with much gusto.
Miles then helped Peter unwrap the gift by using his never-ending supply of slobber to soften the paper.
Here is what was inside.
To take part in the celebrations at daycare for Father's Day, Grandpa Pete was kind enough to brave the 7-miles of gridlock from work.
In this picture Miles appears to be delivering some juicy gossip, which completely shocked his friend Lilly.
Two days later we enjoyed a BBQ at Leslie and Lee's home as we continued celebrating fatherhood. We took the opportunity to introduce Miles to the life aquatic.
Post-swim, a line of admirers got time with Miles. Jill's cousin Diana called first dibs. Notice how cute swimming diapers look on Miles.
Jill's pregnant sister Leslie then took her turn. You can see in this picture just how pregnant Leslie is by the fact that her unborn son Gavin's arm is poking through Leslie's neck. Or perhaps it was Leslie's husband Lee's arm working its magic on the grill.
On another first, Miles attended the wedding of Peter's IBM friend Collin and his bride Ann.
Miles also met Adam Sandler on one of his many walks on the Sony lot. Miles is the little one in the front row, second from the right.
As a bonus feature this month, we have a few outtakes. The first took place right after snapping our lead photo for this blog.
When Jill took a bathroom break and left Miles in what she thought were Peter's capable hands, Miles decided to get more personal with the sand. As a result, we spent the evening extricating sand from Miles' mouth and nose.
