Adorable Baby Boy in 4D

So apparently blogs are not self-blogging and require someone to actually do the blogging. While normally this won't be a problem, the last few months have been rather hectic. The goal today is to provide enough content to satisfy the millions of visitors who have logged on daily hoping for updated information.

As you can see from the above image, Estrella or rather Estrello has morphed from an alien to a human baby boy over the last two months. He still has about four months in the oven to perfect himself, but his parents are quite proud of his accomplishments thus far. According to the doctor this morning, everything is where it should be and he is developing at a nice proportional rate.

During the appointment he practiced avoiding what is likely to be a barrage of paparazzi by covering his face with his hands and by turning over and lying on his stomach, which gave us a nice look at his well defined buttocks. Other tidbits worth noting are that he has a little dimple in his chin (like mama and mama's dad), his feet are exceptionally large (like papa's size 16s), and he has nice high cheekbones. California surfer girls, watch out!

In an effort to catch everyone up on other developments with the SoCalAllens, here is a quick review of the last couple of months. Jill joined Sony Pictures' Home Entertainment biz dev team. She is thrilled in her new position and they have been very supportive of our upcoming addition to the SoCalAllens.

In the week between jobs, Jill and Peter visited Kauai. We spent the time hiking, swimming, snorkeling, playing way too much Yahtzee, and exploring the beaches.

Jill was quite a trooper on the hikes. One day we covered a treacherous 8 miles to get to a waterfall and the other day we hiked about 11 miles to get a beautiful look at Kauai's Na Pali Cliffs. Thankfully Jill was there so she could get a perfect shot of Peter for her office.

Jill also provided a wonderful subject on the hike as Peter tried to capture the yellow in her shirt as it reflected off the water.

When we got back from the trip, Peter finished his last two weeks at business school and graduated from UCLA Anderson on what was the hottest graduation in over 30 years. Luckily Peter and his friends were well prepared with sunglasses and cold beer.

In attendance were baby's momma Jill, baby's momma's papa Pete, baby momma's tia Selene, baby's momma's momma Daisy, and baby's momma's tia Nidya.

And in an effort to keep abreast of the going-ons in the NorCalAllen clan, Jill and Peter made a trip to Berkeley the weekend of July 4. We also paid a visit to the Harmon clan in Bolinas where we got in touch with our inner beach-hippies.

Unfortunately we did not take any pictures after we arrived, but you can visit NorCalAllens to see some cool pics of our adorable new niece Daphne and homemade sushi. On our way up the 5, we did stop at Santa Nella to enjoy some fantastically delicious Pea Soup made fresh from Hap-Pea and Pea-Wee.

Well that is all for now, except to say that Peter started work with IBM in the software group so please call him if you find yourself a Southern California business looking to buy new software.
